| While
working as the Manager for a local electronics firm, Jim realized
the need for true custom design and total system installation,
as opposed to simply “selling boxes.” Jim founded
Audio Video Installations in 1986, focusing his passion on delivering
premium, totally integrated, and unique electronic designs.
During the next several years, Jim expanded the company to include
the addition of security and phone systems, and later, structured
wiring, network solutions, systems integration and control systems.
Jim
remains AVI’s primary system designer-engineer and systems
programmer. He is also the technical advisor on all projects.
His hands-on approach to site visits and project management
keeps AVI projects carefully crafted, networked,
and completed as promised.
Jim enjoys
being involved with NARI, a local remodelers’ association

| A
self-described “gadget guy,” Thomas has been with
AVI since 1996. As Vice President of Operations, he facilitates
AVI’s daily operations including accounting, administrative,
facility management, project service, and scheduling. Thomas
is also a System Designer and Project Manager, coordinating
all aspects of individual projects with clients, builders, contractors,
and suppliers.
Thomas’
sees himself as a client advocate and AVI’s chief team
relationship builder. His interest in electronics began in
his teens with computers and video games. He worked as a sales
associate, and was later promoted to Sales Manager for a local
wireless communication firm selling mobile technology in its
developmental years. Today, Thomas is very involved with the
local builders association, BAGI, where he sits on several
committees.
